Back in 2022 Shawn Bolz gave a prophetic word about pivoting—God suddenly changing things in people’s lives. I think this word is stronger now than it was two years ago.
This is a strategic time for every believer, as God is changing things around. He is not doing this randomly or capriciously. For every change He has a good reason, and those who are willing to let Him move, in whatever way He wants, will see His glory.
We don’t need to be afraid as things change, nor do we need to be concerned about whether He will provide for us. He will.
Your Specific Story
If He is leading you to a cliff of dramatic change, you can be confident He has prepared you for that change. He isn’t throwing you out there and hoping for the best—you were made for this moment with Him.
You have a specific story God is telling with your life. All the things you’ve done, everything you have experienced—nobody has the résumé you do. When He changes something, you can trust He is moving on purpose.
The Provision You Need
We are in the days of Romans 1:17: “The just shall live by faith.” That is a key verse right now. Do we believe God by His Spirit will provide for us?
As every believer experiences eventually, it is one thing to “have faith” when things are going well, and it is quite another to believe He will provide when a foundational element in our life is changing.
“I thought I would stay at this job until I retired, but now I have to find something else.”
“I never expected we would sell our house and move to a different city.”
“I never thought we would change churches.”
When God changes something in our life, there is no reason for us to react in fear. There are many things we can’t know right now, but we can know this—that He is good and that we can trust Him. He will provide for us, and He will bring us through. We will experience the goodness of the Lord in our daily life, and we will see His glory.
